Dear Neighbor, 

It is such an honor to serve you as your State Representative for House District 46. We have accomplished so much since you elected me four years ago. Together, we have begun to address the housing crisis, advanced climate legislation, prioritized teachers and education, passed a Child Tax Credit, and legalized cannabis. And we’re just getting started. 

I am a daughter of Northern New Mexico. I was born and raised in Santa Fe, Española, Chimayo, La Mesilla and Nambe. My father was the first in my family to graduate college - he became an engineer. My parents taught me the value of hard work, education and giving back to the community. I have two brothers: one is a veteran who now works in the private sector and another is a New Mexico State Police Officer. 

Our district is as vibrant and diverse as New Mexico as a whole. It is both rural and urban, with the stunning Española and Pojoaque Valleys, northwest Santa Fe, and four sovereign Pueblos: Nambe, Pojoaque, San Ildefonso, and Tesuque.  With new and emerging businesses, cultures and traditions that have been here for hundreds of years, hope and inspiration for a better New Mexico is at every turn.

It’s an exciting time to be a New Mexican. We just passed the Opportunity Scholarship that makes college free to any student in our state of any age who works hard and maintains a 2.5 GPA. We’re building up our early childhood education programs and funding them to ensure that our earliest learners have the best shot at a good start. I’m committed to finding solutions to our affordable housing problems, advancing efforts to combat climate change, and providing opportunities and support for small businesses.
