Andrea Romero is a daughter of Northern New Mexico—her family goes back many, many generations here. Andrea represents the district she was raised in. After attending elementary, middle school, and high school in Santa Fe Public Schools, Andrea graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Political Science and received her J.D. at the University of New Mexico’s School of Law. She has dedicated herself to the growth of Northern New Mexico’s economic and environmental vitality through her small business and volunteer service to various organizations throughout the region.
Andrea's career spans international development work in Mozambique, founding Tall Foods—an ostrich ranching venture focused on sustainable meat production—and serving as a volunteer New Mexico State Representative since 2019. As a government relations and legal consultant for hire, she is also the founder of Flobiotik Foods, combining her legal, policy, and entrepreneurial expertise to advance microbiome-aligned nutrition. As an entrepreneur, Andrea focuses on food systems and biotechnology, holding a U.S. and E.U. patent for probiotic-enriched eggs that support gut health and reduce food waste.
In all her roles, she is guided by a deep commitment to equity, regeneration, and local resilience. Whether advancing legislation or building new ventures, Andrea remains dedicated to creating tangible, scalable solutions rooted in the needs and strengths of her home in northern New Mexico.
