Voting in the November 8, 2022 General Election

Register to Vote
To register to vote online before October 11, please visit here. For the General Election, you must register in person. Same Day Registration is available here:
October 11 – October 21, 2022 –at the Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office (Monday – Friday, 8AM to 5PM).
October 22 – November 5, 2022 – at Early Voting locations (most locations open Monday – Saturday 10AM to 7PM)
November 8, 2022 – at Election Day voting locations (7AM-7PM)
Please bring a photo ID and a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, student identification card or other government document, including identification issued by an Indian nation, tribe or pueblo that shows your name and current address.
Absentee Voting
You can request an absentee ballot until 5 PM on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Absentee ballots will begin to be mailed out starting on October 11. You can request an absentee ballot online by clicking here.
After you receive your ballot, return your ballot as quickly as possible, making sure that it’s filled out entirely. You can track the status of your absentee ballot here.
You can also drop off your ballot at any of the Early or Election Day Voting sites (see below).
All absentee ballots may be returned to the County Clerk’s Office or any Election Day polling location no later than 7PM on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
Early Voting
Early voting (or In-Person Absentee) begins at the Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office on October 11 – October 21, 2022 (Monday – Friday 8AM. – 5 PM).
Expanded Early Voting at Voting Convenience Centers begins on October 22 and continues through Saturday, November 5 (Monday-Saturday, 10AM-7PM unless noted). You can vote at any of the following Voting Convenience Centers in the County beginning on October 22:
